5. They may not adhere to industry guidelines or norms.

Traditional non-stick finishes meet FDA food contact rules, but this is not always the case with ceramic finishes. Your best choice is to acquire ceramic nonstick cookware from a renowned cookware manufacturer who is more likely to insist on meeting standards from its nonstick finish provider.

6. These aren’t magic pans.

While they may appear shiny, it’s not the sheen that makes ceramic nonstick pans nonstick. While eggs may easily slip out of a brand-new pan, over time, food will begin to stay and cleanup will become more difficult. Ceramic nonstick pans are actually less nonsticky than ordinary non-stick pans.

7. You should definitely wash them by hand.

8. A trusted name brand is worth paying a bit more for.
